My father truly enjoyed being a member of the U.S.S. Leyte crew.He always kept a framed color picture of the "U.S.S. Leyte at sea" in his
office. As we grew up he told us stories about the crew and then shared
those same stories with our children.Dad searched for why he was spared. He turned his life over to God. He
completed his B.S. Degree in Divinity from Columbia Bible College and his
Masters Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary to minister and do good for others.Dad served on a submarine for a short time and his last tour with the Navy
was on the U.S.S. Bennington.END
